HelpMeNow is a free humanitarian project that connects people in crisis with safe support, social workers, and interpreters. Created by a Thai–Italian mediator and engineer experienced in emergency interpreting, the app is designed for migrants, women, and travellers who need help — fast, free, and in their own language.

Languages available: English, Italian, Thai (Arabic, Chinese, and more coming soon).

About HelpMeNow

HelpMeNow enables people in distress to send an SOS with their live location and a pre-translated message. It is designed for migrants, travellers, and anyone facing language barriers in emergencies. The MVP will start with English, Italian and Thai, adding Arabic and Chinese next. The app will also support SMS fallback and 112 dialing when there is no data connection.

Privacy-first: data minimization, secure transmission (HTTPS), and short retention for emergency logs.

How It Works

  1. Tap the red SOS button in the app.
  2. Your GPS position is attached automatically.
  3. A pre-translated message is sent to trusted contacts, NGOs, or consular services.
  4. If offline, the app falls back to SMS or starts a call to 112.

HelpMeNow è un progetto umanitario gratuito che mette in contatto le persone in difficoltà con supporto sicuro, assistenti sociali e interpreti. Nato dall’esperienza di una mediatrice e ingegnere italo‑thai attiva nelle emergenze, è pensato per migranti, donne e viaggiatori che hanno bisogno di aiuto — in modo rapido, gratuito e nella propria lingua.

Come funziona

  1. Tocca il pulsante rosso SOS nell’app.
  2. La tua posizione GPS viene allegata automaticamente.
  3. Un messaggio pre‑tradotto viene inviato a contatti fidati, ONG o servizi consolari.
  4. Se sei offline, l’app usa l’SMS o avvia la chiamata al 112.
